The School

FitzWimarc is a co-educational comprehensive school, occupying a single site within a semi-rural area, less than a mile from the centre of Rayleigh. The buildings are a blend of old and new architecture, providing comfortable accommodation for over 1300 pupils.

The facade is deceiving, hiding as it does a great deal of modern accommodation and extensive playing fields. Much of the new and refurbished accommodation results from an ability to anticipate future trends and to bid successfully for funds to pay for projects.
